Our fantastic Meet and Greet volunteer Trevor Williams, who many in DVH recognize from his warm and friendly welcome at the main entrance, or his memorable tea trolley rounds in the Emergency department, has been on a crusade to try and get to the root cause of the wheelchair issue, taking on his own CQI project to see how we can manage them more effectively!

Today, thanks to a lovely donation Trevor kindly made to our charity, we successfully delivered two dedicated wheelchairs, one in ‘The Children’s Chariot’ to PAU, and another as a dedicated wheelchair for chemotherapy patients on Pine Therapy. ☺️

Staff on both units expressed their grand appreciation to Trevor for his hardwork and dedication to the patients in these wards. Deputy Chief Nurse Di Gambrell also added her own thanks to Trevor for his amazing donation.

These dazzling bright wheelchairs have been dedicated to these wards and in different upholstery! 😄
