  1. About us

What we do

Please view our latest Annual Report and Accounts to see how we raise funds and the impact we make with your support.

  • 2023-2024 Annual Report and Accounts
  • 2022-2023 Annual Report and Accounts

With the generosity of our donors and supporters we fundraise to:

  • Buy the latest medical equipment to offer the best available care to our community in their locality;
  • Enhance the Hospital environment for our patients, making it welcoming and comfortable;
  • Provide the little extras that can mean so much to a patient's stay in hospital.

In addition charitable funds have been used to:

  • Fund innovative research
  • Support staff training, development and well-being
  • Support services and healthcare initiatives that support the health of the local community.

Valley Hospital Charity* supports the work of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and therefore can benefit patient care on both sites that it operates: Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. For more information about these services please visit the Trust's website.

You can help us raise funds to enhance patient care by:

  • making a donation
  • taking part in one of our fundraising events
  • holding your own fundraising event

We are grateful for any contribution - big or small. Thank you.

*Registered charity no. 1050861. Valley Hospital Charity is our current working title. The Charity was previously known as Darent Valley Hospital Charity Fund, and Your NHS Hospital Charity, and was originally registered as Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust Charitable Fund with the Charity Commission.
