We are launching a special fundraising appeal to transform two vital children’s play spaces at Darent Valley Hospital; the play area on Willow Ward and the Children’s Resource Centre (CRC).

These spaces are at the heart of our care for young patients, giving children a place to play, relax and feel more like themselves during what can be a very frightening and uncertain time. Right now, both areas are tired and in real need of a refresh, and with your support we want to create bright, welcoming, child friendly environments filled with colour, comfort and joy.

Your donations will help us buy new toys, books and games for all ages, sensory and specialist equipment for children with additional needs, soft furnishings and seating for families, and fresh paint and artwork to turn clinical rooms into warm, uplifting spaces that feel safe and comforting. Play is so much more than a distraction. It helps children cope with treatment, reduces anxiety, supports their emotional wellbeing and offers much needed moments of normality.

By supporting this appeal, you will be making a direct and lasting difference to hundreds of children and families who pass through Willow Ward and the CRC every year.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us bring these play spaces to life and ensure that every child who comes to Darent Valley Hospital is met with an environment that is caring, colourful and full of hope.

Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality.
